Landfogti House is an ancient construction, built around the space of a courtyard and the surrounding loggia. The new volume, located south of the court, hosts the new access to the complex.
The project is based on voids, surrounded by living spaces. The project also provides a covered public space, a “broletto”, reproducing the measures of the existing courtyard.
The storeys of the new civic centre match the ones in Landfogti House creating a cohesive combination, with architectures full of shadows, such as the ancient loggia in the courtyard.
